Parents we have a reading checkpoint coming up on April 8th so I just wanted to go over a few things that you all should be doing at home to help your children become better and stronger readers.
Read at least 30 minutes a day! Take turns reading aloud at bedtime! Kids really enjoy this special time with their parents.
Dig deeper into the story. Ask questions to your kids about the story you have read.
Pick books that are on the right level. Help your kids pick out books that are not too difficult and that they enjoy reading.
Most importantly make sure you are PATIENT. Remember they are just learning how to read and won't get everything correct. Give them time to try and pronounce the word correctly and correct them gently.

Parents, don't forget picture day is coming up on April 12th! The information and order forms were sent home today. These are the spring pictures so the backgrounds will be colorful and fun so dress up for the occasion. There is examples of the backgrounds and poses on the order form so make sure you fill it out and send it back by April 11th.
Hello parents I am so happy that you all made time to come check out my blog. I really hope this blog helps you all and informs you all of what is going on in class.
